What about COURSES - Using the / + embed in Courses does not work! In Threads it works. When is this feature coming for courses? Mayhul Arora @Murtaza Bambot

Murtaza Bambot & Mayhul Arora ~
I had hoped to be able to embed individual images from my Ko-fi gallery within my courses. However, the
entire
Ko-fi page is embedded instead of only the selected image:Is there any way to adjust my image embeds so that the image ONLY will display?
FWIW, there are 2 benefits to using my Ko-fi gallery images, instead of simply uploading the images directly into Heartbeat:
> The gallery images can be shared socially
outside
of Heartbeat.> In my free courses, Ko-fi can serve as a secondary, passive revenue stream.

So this is native HTML/iframe feature or i dont have it active yet?

Hm, I think I figured out what this embed is and frankly it's not quite what I would have expected. I would have expected an iframe embed where I could show a page from a different site on Heartbeat. Instead what it appears it takes a snapshot of that page and just creates a link to it that opens in a separate tab. I am not sure it is useful for my purposes and does not add much value. Love HB, but no dice here.

Alex Kudinov: Agreed

As some others I cannot figure out what does this embed do. I add <script> tag and nothing happens. What exactly do we supposed to copy/paste into the embed field?
Generally, some better examples for the embeds could be useful.

Hi Mayhul Arora, Murtaza Bambot, I'm trying to embed from another tool, and my options are an iFrame Code or JavaScript. When I click on the /embed on desktop, to the far right appears a dropdown menu with about 20 choices. From that menu, I've tried HTML, Java, and JavaScript, but none of these 3 worked with the tool's provided codes.
One kind of code starts with <meta http-equiv= and the other starts with <div id="iframe
Are either of these coding formats supposed to work with this new Native HTML/iframe embeds feature? Or am I misunderstanding what "Native HTML/iframe embed" means? Thanks for clearing this up in my head.

Hi everyone, we're going ahead and releasing our new embed feature to everyone! We're still keeping an eye on things to make sure that everything is working properly, so let us know if you run into any issues. There are two main ways you can now embed content in your community:
- New threads created on desktop (only available to community admins)
- Docs & Courses (type "/embed")

It would ne nice to also be able to: - decide, HOW BIG the embed will be (to have no scrolling), - CHANGE/EDIT the hyperlink URL later (but keep position), - decide if it shows/opens as a POPUP / LIGHTBOX (to keep the user inside heartbeat), - decide if it shows as a BUTTON first to save space and let the user decide if he wants more, thank you for considering these extras !

Mayhul Arora: Thanks for the update. Will there be plans to embed HTML code? I understand the original request to be able to embed vidtags html code. I have vidtags and the html code will not embed in the new feature in docs or threads. Thanks
Jonathan Huguenin
Steve Ingham: Hi! Just like Steve, I have the same need. Some of my integrations require HTML code to work. Will this be possible? Thanks team Mayhul Arora

Mayhul Arora: I tried this feature but it does not allow iframe embeds from our domains or random public links. Which defies the whole purpose of iframe embeds.
Can you please allow us to add our own custom iframes?
Adithya Shreshti
Mayhul Arora: Thank you for releasing this for videos and other link based embeds. But like many others in this thread, we have been waiting to embed using a proper HTML code.
So we can embed an external page of ours and make it member-only for community. Awaiting to know what's the update on this.
Aingeal Rose & Ahonu
Yes, embed us too! We need it!
