Direct Message Window Still Shows "EX"-Members

Why does the Direct Messaging Window show members who have left the community? I consider this a bug actually. You will not be messaging people who have left. It is a distraction and clutter to have to scroll down through them. I am a former programmer. Add a little bit of SQL to a select statement should quickly get rid of this.
