I see an invitation link to groups only works for new members. Enable it for existing members so they can join other groups via link

Existing members can now use an invitation link to join the group.

Bianca Blanco: Thank you! I just tried it out today. 💕 Seems like this works only when joining through a PC. I tried joining using an invitation link as an existing member through my phone with the app already installed. I clicked the link > was directed to the page where it would ask me to download the app > clicked "Download from Playstore" > since it's already installed, I clicked "open" but it only shows the text "Could not find any channels" . No "join" button similar to what shows up when joining through a PC.

Workaround for groups set as unjoinable: Personally, I've set up Zapier to handle this automatically. For example, if they are paying through a different payment processor, then you're tagging them in your email auto-responder, you could set up a zap to add them to the group. On the welcome email that you send out, you can give the invite link and a caveat that if they're already part of your community, access should have been added automatically & they'll see it the next time they log in.

Workaround: If your other groups are joinable, you could direct them to go into their settings & join all of the groups they're interested in. I would also like to be able have existing group members also join other groups via link. I will add though that the current setup actually helps in the situation of a member not re-using an invite link to re-join an unjoinable group you have removed them from. (My use case is I have paying members who pay through an outside payment processer. I'll send them an invite link. If they stop paying, I'll remove them from the group. Then I don't want them re-joining using a link from an old email.)
