this would help keep the community clean and organized instead of having and event AND a channel for event discussion

and / or be able to advertise an event in a group/thread. I know that group members will receive the notification but with in-thread advertisement, it will be possible to actually discuss the event, make polls to adjust event organisation to members wishes and so on

Yes, I would also like the ability to comment on events, and add FULL size photos (the event photo is too small)
