Ability to add line breaks between numbered items in a list & keep the numbering sequence.

When I use a numbered list in a text post, I would like to add line breaks between the numbered items to enhance readability.

Right now, when I hit shift+enter like I do in other programs to add a line (a soft break?), then the list order starts at 1 again.

EXAMPLE I would like to see:

1. TEXT text

• line break -

1. TEXT text

What happens instead when I add a break between lines (extra line break not visible in this post).

1. TEXT text

• line break-

1. TEXT text
