Ability to "Archive"

Archiving "Threads" and "Courses" for possible later use.
Say I'm working with a client and decide to create category + channels under threads OR I create a course specifically for them and then after the work with them is done 4-8 weeks later then I want the ability to "archive" it so it doesn't fill up active space in the "threads" or "course" section but I don't want to delete it permanently for potential use later and to re-access if I happened to work with that client again or something, then bring it back.
