Ability to "Archive"
Archiving "Threads" and "Courses" for possible later use.
Say I'm working with a client and decide to create category + channels under threads OR I create a course specifically for them and then after the work with them is done 4-8 weeks later then I want the ability to "archive" it so it doesn't fill up active space in the "threads" or "course" section but I don't want to delete it permanently for potential use later and to re-access if I happened to work with that client again or something, then bring it back.

Yes, really need to be able to archive. The channels I have for my previous years' cohort groups are cluttering up my home menu, so it's harder to see current direct messages as they come in. (Unless someone knows a way to move things around?) Having an archive option would be great.

Definitely need the ability to archive courses instead of just deleting them!

This is a default in Trello. Anything needs to be archived before deleting. Unable to delete before archiving.
In addition to the utilities already mentioned here, it is also a security resource for the user and his team.

I would also really like to be able to archive entire channels! In our use case, we create channels for specific events (eg, an upcoming conference) and after it's over, would like to keep record of all the messages, links and exchanges but don't want to keep the channel open forever…

Being able to archive a Doc for later retrieval instead of it just being deleted forever would be great to have, too.
