Able to hide channels, DM?

For channels, would be better for user experience if user can choose to hide channel they not following. Currently you can only opt in and out of group which is not helpful.

We do have quite a number of category groups plus channels per group. So hiding channel (auto mute as well for notification) would be good.

Each person that DM you or you DM to, it leave the channel there even after a long time of inactivity. Was hope there be an option to hide it otherwise it tedious to go through the list.
