Better control over roles/permissions
The way the roles toggles have been set up doesn't make sense. If I want to create a role that can modify groups, he can't do that unless I toggle "Manage Community Settings" which gives him a bunch of permissions I don't want to give them (e.g. changing the name of the community).
Plus, it would make sense if there was further granularity to that permission. Instead of being able to edit/modify ANY group, it would be nice if we could allow users to edit/modify only the groups that they create.

Another worrying reality I have just realized is that anyone with "Edit Roles" privilege can kick the community owner out because they can change the owner's admin privileges.
That is certainly worrying. Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to have received any urgent consideration all these months despite what a serious issue it is.
A super-admin or owner status/privilege could prevent this from occurring, yes?

Definitely a priority.
Even better would be to have a grid option for selecting the controls that can be assigned to various membership tiers. This would allow site owners the maximum flexibility in choosing which tiers have which permissions.
FWIW, I think a grid for permission settings used to be (may still be) available in Oxwall.

This should be priority. There should be an owner role with access to all controls, and ability to restrict access to certain info or powers

PLEASE give us fine-grained control over role permissions.
Our community could really benefit from being able to allow mods to add and remove users from certain groups, but only certain groups.

The Embed functionality is also only available at full administration level, what makes on sense, this should be able on a Moderator level.
The Threads of others cannot be edited on Administrator level, so the admin has not full authority over the Threads.
There should be possible to establish some hierarchy or preferences in the threads, at least as long you can not search in the mobile app. So it is impossible to Search in the threads for keywords or at least tags, what makes the mobile app less useful than any website in terms of consulting community posts.
