Nick Barba: what about the ability to participate in voice rooms with video? Those on mobile app have voice only and this can't fully participate.

Darryl Dahl: Hi Darryl - Over the weekend, we pushed an update to the app that patches a bug that caused the app to crash occasionally. Can you confirm with me whether the issue is still happening for you after updating to the latest version?
Must of users interact with Heartbeat with their phones. Some of them couldn’t join a video meeting because of that. Please make audio and video meetings possible within the app as well. Thanks.

I picked Heartbeat specifically because of the included app functionality. I'm not a mobile app person, but my audience is. So I need to meet them where they are for them to want to join my paid membership. Thanks for this suggestion ~

So important — as a community owner I’ll likely interact with Heartbeat primarily on mobile (I’m disabled and sitting at a desk all day isn’t an option so mobile is vital to my work) and at the very least full user functionality is a must for the mobile app. To get people used to using a new platform I need them to build that habit and if I have to send them to desktop for some things and mobile for others the friction means we’ll never get there. For my own use case at least basic admin functionality needs to be available on the mobile app, otherwise it’s going to be really difficult to moderate the community when I can only act as an admin and access admin features on desktop. I imagine there are a lot of people who may not have the same accessibility problems as me in terms of disability but may travel often or not use a desktop for their primary browsing — and app functionality will be vital to them as community owners and users too.

Sorcha MacKenzie: Yes! To really push how convenient it is to use with our members, it needs to actually be super convenient to do as much as possible on mobile. I noticed today I couldn't edit my profile on mobile & had to go get on my computer.

Misty Dorman: Totally, I had assumed the experience would be similar since no documentation mentions that the iOS app is limited and was surprised when I couldn’t even add a channel or edit a doc in the app. Hopefully this will be a priority!

Not quite complete.. it’s super close and getting there though.. the biggest function we need is the ability to see and join channels from the mobile app.. unless I can’t find it the only channels a mobile user can use are those that are added at onboarding.. need the ability to be able to see and find all channels just like on the desktop version.. PLEASE! We are so ready to bring our community of 4000 to heartbeat. Just need this really important step completed
