Support through Embedly will allow us to use 700+ applications like YouTube, Loom, Tella, Tango, Scribe and so many more.

In fact, Circle.so uses Embedly for their "Embed" feature and it's why many community builders choose it over other options out there.

Community builders using Embedly can keep members inside their community without having to redirect them with an Embed Cards. Keeping people in Heartbeat is so important to containing the vibe of the group.

From my understanding this also saves your developers from having to do all of that work on your own platform. Instead, we can recommend providers we want to go to Embedly vs. stacking Feature Requests for each individual app.

    Heartbeat actually uses a tool called Iframely (https://iframely.com/) to allow embeds with over 1900 different sites. When we built this out, we checked out embed.ly, but found it to be pretty limited vs. Iframely.

    You can embed content (as well as pure HTML code) in threads, documents, and course lessons now. In threads, just click the code icon at the bottom of the "Create Thread" pop-up. For documents and course lessons, just type "/embed" to pull up the option to embed external content.
