This would be so helpful to have as an option. On/off toggle switch for comments on read only threads and channels. Would be great to have this for some posts in channels too.

I'd think this can be achieved by Heartbeat moving group access permissions to a more granular model - e.g. separating read permissions and write permissions at a group level, not channel level (steal from Discord!)

Evgeny Bik: At the moment, read only channels still allow commenting on posts. So we can't mark this complete just yet.
As for write only channels, that's essentially a submission form, not so much a channel. So we'd probably separate that out into another feature request.

I have seen some consultants do a community like this with great success.
