Invite link with just checkout page and email is submitted after payment

When I use the heartbeat invite link, I find many people submit their email and then do not go to the next step to actually check out. Would it be possible to have them select their plan first, then payment info and then the email address goes in? It just seems to make more sense this way and can help eliminate "abandoned cart" issues.
