It would be great if Heartbeat were merchant of record for payments so that users don't need to worry about the complex international sales taxes and EU VAT on digitally supplied products and services. It's a big struggle for solo business owners and puts a lot of people off getting started.

    Hi Amy - clarifying question, does this only apply for users paying through Heartbeat? Or for paying organizations? Wanting to see if this is something we need to prepare for as well (we're in the US, Arkansas).

      Jessica Simms I'm requesting that Heartbeat act as Merchant of Record for the Heartbeat payment system so that if we sell courses or memberships using the Heartbeat payment system we don't need to worry about worldwide sales taxes.
