More Minimalistic Threads

Right now, the threads take up a lot of screen space, making it hard for people to get a quick overview of what's happened since they last visited. It would be great if we could get some customisation on how big the threads should appear (similar to circle list view) and the ability to sort by newest comment is also essential in this.
