Murtaza Bambot: Please, do something nobody seems to want to do and support embeds from sites like Rumble and Odysee. PLEASE.

Planning to use Embed.ly on the backend to allow for fully customizable HTML embeds in Docs, Course Lessons, and Threads.
Aiming to launch this late June/early July — immediately after launching self-service payments.

Murtaza Bambot: with al due respect, is it not possible to create a solution we don’t have to pay for, to be able to use simple (and neccesary) embeds?

Barbara Roos: You won't be paying for Embed.ly, we will :)
Will be baked into your plan.

Murtaza Bambot, will this include embed videos on Event landing pages? This would be useful to give more detail for potential event attendees.

Hi everyone, sorry for the delayed response here. We recently released HTML embeds in beta access for everyone in The Hearth. Getting HTML embeds to work smoothly across devices has been a challenge, so we're still working on cleaning up our implementation to make sure everything works as expected.
If you're not in the Hearth & would like beta access to the embeds feature, respond here with the name of your community and I can get you added to our beta. Once you get added to your beta, you'll be able to use HTML embeds in the following places:

    • Typing "/embed" in Docs & Courses
    • Clicking on the Embed icon while creating a new thread on desktop (we currently do not support creating new HTML embeds from mobile)
I'll give your response a like once you're added!

Hi everyone, we're going ahead and releasing our new embed feature to everyone! We're still keeping an eye on things to make sure that everything is working properly, so let us know if you run into any issues. There are two main ways you can now embed content in your community:

    • New threads created on desktop (only available to community admins)
    • Docs & Courses (type "/embed")
    • S F

Mayhul Arora: Hi! Two questions - What's the ETA on this? & Would this support embed for all kinds of web-assets? Appreciate your support.
