New Mobile - Newsfeed On / Off Setting

I love that you can shut off the newsfeed setting on the new mobile. However, when you do, you get the attached picture. This makes it look like the app isn't working. And if you have an community that is not super tech savvy, this is even more confusing!

Can we have some sort of alternative to this? Ie, shut off the newsfeed and get something different, some other landing page?
