Please add option which allow us to use our logo for loading icon instead of the current pumping heart which is not good for branding.

This is one of many branding features that needs to be available.

Mark Randall: Indeed! Brand consistency directly supports loyalty and member retention.

I just would like the app icon not to look like a dating app on my phone : )

I agree. My clients associate the current logo with a dating app

I don't mind the branding per say (although i prefer white label)

But I don't think the pumping heart logo is beautiful, and it doesn't fit for everybody, depending on their community styles for sure.

I would prefer my own logo/image

And if branding here is necessary, then maybe it can be a text with icon at the bottom (with automatic affiliate link of course)

Probably one of the highest voted request. All the other updates yall continue to hit us with is kool but once there's word out about being able to customize with our own brand instead of the heart… OMG that will be that day!!!

Kevn Elib: You mean like Mighty Networks? Or Hivebrite? Movement? Podia? I know there are at least 5 or 6 others I’m not thinking of. Quite a few in Europe. You can customize the branding in all these, but there are software issues.

In my experience Heartbeat both solved, and improved their issues.

Personally, if the branding of the software is causing such a massive issue and stopping someone from utilizing it and growing their community… I would recommend finding a different brand to work with.

Because it seems a waste to keep the software, if a heart causes such a kurfuffle and prevents you from using all the amazing elements they have built in.

Besides, with Apple and Google app regulations it could be an entire year before either are adjusted, especially because the software is a database with an app element like Notion with some up-leveled services…not individual apps for each user.

Yep - this is an important white-labelling request

FITNESS RELOCATION: — Agreed. Most members feel unsure whether to say “meet in heartbeat” generically or “meet in THE GYM” and use my brand name.

We're really eager for this as well for our B2B audience. We love the Heartbeat ethos but the pumping heart when loading and the app icon can send the wrong message to our audience - especially those in the corporate space expecting professionalism.

If customising the mobile app and web graphics for each community is challenging, another solution could be a slight rebrand from the heart to a modern, sleek "hb" graphic could be a viable alternative in a similar way to the competitor that has a "C".

Great work with the other brand customisation improvements you've been making and hoping this can follow by year-end so we can really put Heartbeat to work in 2024 for those of us in the professional services space.

Encompass Global: I agree. It is difficult to shift client perspective when people's default heuristic is to treat whatever is in front of them based on the first introduced experience. It's somewhat a "priming effect".

Encompass Global: I don't feel a full rebrand is necessary. There are communities that LIKE the heart for the icon.

I have five clients, AND my community that all have commented on how much they like the icon. And none of them thought of a dating app first.

But a second OPTION to choose a more…..masculine version I think would help for those who want a traditional professional appearance.

This would be pretty useful, especially because some people think it is a dating app by the icon. Only problem I see is changing the icon for web is likely cake. Changing the icon for the app - who knows?

Chris Trimper: I was thinking the same thing. It's just confusing to our members when going after people's loyalty but they see 2 different brand logos and especially getting the wrong idea about it being a dating site isn't what I'm after for sure.

I would love to see less Heartbeat branding across the board and more personalization to our own brands.

White labeling would cause HUGE functionality issues. It works this well because "Heartbeat" IS the app, and we utilize the app. However!

I think having different pre-designed icon options would be helpful and allow businesses to stay closer to their brand.

    • The Original heart

    • A brush of colors with an H

    • Black/White H

    • Different color hearts

    • Different pattern options

    etc.

OR! Allowing a custom icon for that business within the software of a few (like 3 MAX!) combos:

    • Choose heart or H

    • Choose Icon color

    • Choose background

    OR! Just two options:

    • The traditional one

    • A Simple H or HB

Would that be possible? Or would that require App approval for all the combos?

Amanda Jean Marcott: We would also like to see Option #2 or #3.

Option 3 may probably work best for simplicity and ease of management - both is the app stores and in software development.

We really hope the Heartbeat Team is following this thread and can comment or implement a solution for this soon since we really love the tool and what is being built here.

Amanda Jean Marcott: or option 4. give us true whitelabel. no hearts anywhere.

Kevn Elib: I mean, there’s definitely other services that don’t have hearts, they offer approximately half the services Heartbeat does, and they are a much steeper learning curve… But the development nightmare of white labeling everything should be considered. Because it will make the price much more expensive in order to justify it.
