I know it has an auto save function, but it's a bit buggy and I often have to re-type or re-format content because it did not save. I would like to have a button where I can intentionally save the document.
I'd suggest a toggle that's defaulted "on" for "auto-save" (mimics what docs already doing) plus an actual save button. This way, people can turn off the toggle if they want to draft without affecting the public version & then manually save. If navigating away from the page with unsaved changes, there should be a prompt/reminder to save.
