Right now threads are posted chronologically. I would love the ability to choose how posts show up in a channel: chronologically, alphabetically, or by most popular posts (with an algorithm).
Let us set channels to have recent activity at the top! Please give us this ability! It's so basic for any type of forum or chat client to have this feature.

this is definitely needed as otherwise threads with no engagement stay at the top and old threads with tons of ongoing engagement are buried all the way down.

I would add - manual sort. I would love to be able to arrange posts in the channel the way I want them to be.

Yes, I'd love to see threads with new comments moved to the top and the ability to sort the feed however we'd like to see the posts.

Or in my case threads with no comments. (Our community is centered on feedback however sometimes a thread gets lost within newer posts with no comments on it. Which for our writers community is a no-no.)

Agreed 100% - recent activity and trending (based on engagement) would be 2 very useful filters to have for users as tabs for quick selection in their feeds

Yes, even if someone comments on a post from months ago, it does not rise to the top. I would like to show any recent activity at the top of the channel.

A big YES! threads should be filtered by the latest activity (new comment/reply), not by new thread. So whenever someone adds a new comment, the thread goes to the top. Super super important, probably THE most important feature to improve engagement
