Creating the option for nested reply threads—similar to how slack does it—would be an awesome implementation of this feature!

100% much needed, honestly just the basic features of a chat function. Being able to reply and edit messages will open up so many doors for others to transition into Heartbeat permanently. If those isn't the heart of what communication is which I know Heartbeat prides themselves in, then I'm out. Murtaza Bambot Samantha Heartbeat Misty Dorman - Heartbeat Team Siobhan Mayhul Arora Mafalda please get this looked at it's what the people needs.

There are a ton of feature requests around this and DM experience overall. Probably time the team starts looking at this.

Yes ! Or something like being able to respond to a specific message (like in WhatsApp for example)
