Visual of how many new posts in threads and communities

One of the things in slack that I find really useful is having a visual of how many unread items are in the thread or community there are.
Also having the "communities" listed down the side is really great as well. At the moment, I can only visually see one community at a time AND I am not able to see what communities have posts, etc.
