Posts with images should retain image positioning when viewed on mobile
When viewed on mobile, the images are moved to a grid at the bottom of the screen, regardless of their placement in the original post.
This can be a problem when the image provides context for the content of the post.
If you look at how we’ve been taught to design for Heartbeat, and how it has been implemented across the platform so far, is that we have images at the top of Threads.
This is a basic principle that has been modeled for us and that we are following. So whatever decision the mobile design team made, it is not in alignment with top level UX design principles on the platform.

Correct Image Placement on Mobile
I'd like to request an improvement to image placement in posts on the mobile app.
When I place an image at the top of a post on desktop, it appears correctly there on desktop—but on mobile, the image is moved to the bottom of the post. Since many community members primarily use Heartbeat on their phones, this makes it difficult to create posts with a strong visual introduction.
It would be really helpful if images appeared in the same position on mobile as they do on desktop, or if creators had an option to control image placement on mobile.

Correct image placement on mobile app from desktop
Correct image placement on mobile apps. When placing an image on desktop - for a post where I want it, it doesn’t keep that formatting on the app. Please have the image placed on desktop remain where it should be on the mobile app as well.

Yes, that would make our posts so much better! The same goes for adding polls and the a course/meeting preview wherever we want :)
