Better Polls

Feature RequestsChannels + Posts

Several suggestions:

  1. Allow multi-question surveys.

  2. allow more than 5 answers per question

  3. allow selecting multiple answers (which is suggested already e.g. here: https://heartbeat.canny.io/feature-requests/p/multiple-choices-on-polls)

These are my suggestions for threads. For courses, the following would be good in addition to above features:

  1. add a question type with text answer

  2. add a question type with numeric answer, e.g. 0-10.

    I don't know if it's already possible, but also : Send poll by email so that we're sure everyone got a chance to vote on time!

    +1 on adding multiple-choice and editing poll entries. I was so excited to use polls natively within Heartbeat to find a team meeting only to figure out that single-choice is useless for that (or not being able to undo a selection). Was using doodle instead - not a great user experience :/

    Love being able to use polls, but they're so limited right now, they're not really that useful.

    Yes, I really need to have polls where ladies can choose more than one answer. That would be really helpful!

    1. Admins able to view results without having to vote themselves to see the results (since this affects the polling result and potentially introduces bias).

    Here in July of 2024, and would LOVE to have an option to select multiple options in a poll, as well as more than 5 items…. (like available dates when my course members could attend a meeting) - we are going nuts trying to compile this info manually or with external app + AI…. and we wish we could do it in Heartbeat so other members could see who was free when.
