Bring mobile app to parity with desktop experience

The mobile app is still a long way from 'complete' in terms of matching the desktop experience and lags far behind apps like Circle / Mighty Networks and others in terms of capabilities and function. Apart from a very basic text update, it is not possible to do what is needed on the go: there are no formatting abilities and it is not easy to link to other events, courses, etc. Reopen the other thread that was marked as 'complete' or dramatically improve and upgrade the mobile experience.
