Collapse left and right panes
We should be able to quickly collapse left and right pane, leaving only the icons of channels and profile pictures of people online for example, for more space for the content. The content Should be more responsive to the size of the screen, right now it's always too narrow.

This has been requested ages ago, please add the ability to collapse them. Even better, if we can completely turn off the right sidebar showing who is online. My community wants privacy.

The ability to turn off the right sidebar is a MUST. We've been asking for this for over a year in this and other messages to you directly. The sidebars take up too much space!

Please make this online panel collapsible by default. From a user experience POV, it doesn't add anything valuable to the experience, when this real estate of the screen can be used to make the central content more spacious and user-friendly.

I really want/need to be able to collapse the right "people online" pane for my particular use case (privacy & culture-related issues), but also agree with the idea of having more responsive options for all menus
