Make auto-destructive posts in a channel

Hello! It would be nice to have auto-destructive posts. Let's say I want one channel (out of my 12 channels) where I post daily job opportunities, to enable moderators to create "posts," aka threads, that will have a time limit. For example, have one of my moderators to share a link that will be automatically deleted in 7 days.

love this idea. Would encourage people to show up more if they realized they may miss good post that will disappear. Although,, I would like the option to recycle the post later to get more utility out of it.

Cool idea… it should be possible to build this yourself with automation in the meantime. It'd be a bit complex, but possible.

Josh A.: Hello! It's not possible, I talked to Nick from Heartbeat, and he confirmed that currently the only way to do this is manually. He asked me to submit this ticket; thanks, tho! :)

Mariae De Leon: Ohhh… looks like there's no thread delete endpoint in the API. Funny, you can delete entire channels and channel categories via API but not individual threads.

I've posted it as a feature request here: https://heartbeat.canny.io/feature-requests/p/api-threads-endpoint-improvement-delete-individual-threads

      Please go upvote it :-)

This would be VERY valuable. I have weekly posts that are about meetings and similar events. The posts are very similar each week because of what they represent, but I have to manually delete them after the date otherwise people are easily confused about meeting dates and times. Users don't always look to the events section and not all of my meetings require sign-up.
