Allow the ability to toggle on/off the "Seen by" metric on threads. In terms of privacy, this would be a useful option to creators, as well as members.
Agreed. I think it's hard to build a new community and get people to take the time to post when low numbers on the view count make it look like the post isn't being seen.

yes, there are lots of reasons it would be great to turn off the "seen by" info, including that its demoralizing for someone to know that there post that has no response yet has actually been seen by x number of people who chose not to respond to it.

Yes please! Great tool for admins but I think it's disconcerting for those concerned about privacy, and also quite disheartening for small communities.

Yeah, it stops some people from commenting because they don't even want their names shown.

Would be lovely to hide who is reading the thread too. I have had comments that people find it uncomfortable others can see them reading a thread (the profile pic shows on the posts while someone is reading it (at least when using the desktop app and browser)

Any updates on this?
This is an issue that Spotify dealt with earlier this year and https://www.insideradio.com/free/spotify-revamps-podcast-play-counts-after-creator-pushback/article_94cec322-824d-4f95-9fb0-9c458c03cde3.html has info on what they decided to do about it.
