I made a similar request after realizing that the automatic newsletter wasn’t including events that are happening on the same day. This ability to select what is included I believe would also fix this issue.

It would be helpful to determine the desired frequency for the digest, whether it should be sent weekly, monthly, or on another schedule that best fits our needs.

Not sure if I should start a new one or just keep my vote here but would love to be able to customize or select which groups receive the weekly digest (or be able to send different weekly digests depending on which groups they're in)

It would be great to choose whether to include full names or their posts for the sake of privacy of users.

I wish I could also choose which elements go into the digest

I'm guessing we couldn't edit the main sections, but I like the idea of turning them on/off and also being able to add our own intro, outro, signature, etc as sort of a template for the summary sections to live in.

Add AND turn on and off certain sections that are included! I also requested that we be able to edit the digest signature. Right now it says "with love from Heartbeat".
