Turn Off Comments For Individual Threads
I find that a lot of new members go to my "Intros" channel and, rather than looking to the top of the page to start a thread, they comment on the pinned post.
It made me think that the ability to turn off comments on any individual thread would be very useful (also for moderation if a discussion gets heated)

Barry Rodgers.- I lock my 'pinned' posts, so that comments cannot be added below it (New Posts can still be added below that 'pinned' post.) However, despite using this technique, those Users on Heartbeat App accidentally still try to create a new post by attempting to 'comment' on the pinned post. I have determined that these Users are not noticing the circle icon in the lower right corner of the Heartbeat App (to create a new post) because they are being distracted/misled, as they still see "Write a comment…" being shown BELOW all [Locked] posts - despite these posts being [Locked]. We need the Heartbeat DEVs to prevent "Write a comment…" from being shown WHEN a post is [Locked] to improve the User experience - please see screencapture provided for clarification.

Just as an idea, we auto post their first intro post in the intros channel as part of the onboarding in case that helps in the meantime
