Feature Requests

You'll be able to turn some of your documents public, so they'll appear in search results of all major search engines. Goal here is to allow docs to serve as a lead gen hook for your community.

I would want to have creation date / edit date in Docs so it is easy for the community to see how old / recent is that resource.

It would be awesome to have a card-style layout available when creating docs. This helps those with neurodiversity be better able to synthesize information if it's more visual and not just straight text. It also is really helpful for displaying pages with member bios (if you want to highlight or recognize certain members). It would be amazing to have the option to represent the information in a bit more visual way.

We would like to see the option so save graphics and images, download videos from the apps

I would like to be able to change text colors or highlight text with something other than blue in HB docs in order to match my own branding & make my docs more colorful.

I would like to be able to sync Google Docs into the Docs area similar to how we can with Notion & have them display properly & be printable (currently, printing via keyboard shortcut leaves a ton of whitespace around the doc, but I have another feature request for fixing that).

Most of the objects I have on my Notion pages aren't rendered in HeartBeat document sheets, just text, images, and little else. Integration with Notion is a bit useless if you don't properly embed Notion pages and look good.

Support (markdown) tables in Docs

When saving a post to the docs area, I noticed we can only select the main doc sections, not any sub-sections (or docs we're using as sub-sections). Then we have to go manually move it where we want. It would be nice if this were more similar to how when you create a new label, it asks in a separate dropdown if there's a sub-label you want to put it in.

I would like if (1) the Doc "Section" headers be clickable & that would create a list of docs in the right window. (2) I would also like if these section headers be expandable and collapsible to show or hide the list of docs in the left pane. The default could be hidden (with a little arrow to indicate it's expandable), so all people see initially are the section headers. They click that & the docs list pops up on the right. (Basically like how it is in Notion.) This will help tremendously for those with a lot of docs, along with (3) reducing the amount of vertical whitespace between the doc names. (4) The doc list should also be made wider to show longer doc names &/or have them wrap when they're too long.
