When viewed on mobile, the images are moved to a grid at the bottom of the screen, regardless of their placement in the original post. This can be a problem when the image provides context for the content of the post. If you look at how we’ve been taught to design for Heartbeat, and how it has been implemented across the platform so far, is that we have images at the top of Threads. This is a basic principle that has been modeled for us and that we are following. So whatever decision the mobile design team made, it is not in alignment with top level UX design principles on the platform.
